Bobby Labonte Racing Ready to Lead the 'World'

Archdale, N.C. (September 7, 2010) - Bobby Labonte Racing (BLR) will return to the prestigious Eldora Speedway, located in Rossburg, Ohio,  this Saturday for the 40th-annual World 100. The team competed at the track during 'The Dream' earlier this season.  Team drivers, Earl Pearson Jr. and Brad Neat will participate in the $42,000 to-win UMP DIRTCar sanctioned event.

Eldora Speedway, owned by current NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Tony Stewart, is one of the most famed dirt tracks.  It is home to some of the largest dirt racing events including the Prelude to the Dream, Dirt Late Model Dream, Kings Royal and this weekend's World 100.

Pearson Jr., has logged numerous miles at Eldora Speedway, including a victory at the 2006 World 100.  After missing 'The Dream' in June, the driver of the No. 44 Lucas Oil Dodge Charger is hoping for some revenge this weekend.  Pearson just ended a streak of 14 top-10 finishes.  This success has kept Pearson a contender for the Lucas Oil Late Model Championship.

Neat, will be one of 21 drivers that will "lose" something this weekend.  The young driver of the No. 41 Red Buck Cigars Chevrolet will get his head shaved in front of the crowd during pre-race ceremonies.  This weekend marks the end of donations for the 'Brave to Shave' campaign.  These drivers were part of a campaign over the past 13 weeks to raise awareness for The American Cancer Society, the Children's Cancer Fund of America, and Cancer Research Institute.

Team Manager Jason Fitzgerald Comments on the Eldora Speedway, Last Weekend's Results and This Weekend's Events:

"We are really looking forward to Eldora this weekend.  Just going to that track gets everyone excited.  There is so much history and so much glory in racing there.  Winning at Eldora definitely puts you in a list with some of the greatest dirt racers out there.  This isn't a point's weekend for us, but we will approach it like one.

"Brad (Neat) brought home a hard fought 12th-place finish there in June at 'The Dream' and Earl (Pearson Jr.) unfortunately missed the feature.  Earl won the World 100 event back in 2006, so hopefully we'll be able to pick up that victory again.

"It's gonna be funny to see Brad with a shaved head.  All of the guys are going to look different for a while.  Hopefully, with Brad shaving his head before the race, we'll be able to pick up some speed.  I don't know, but maybe our aero package will be a little better.  Seriously, it's for a great cause and we are really proud that Brad was able to be a part of it.

"Brad had a great race at Portsmouth.  For him to be able to come back there after the nasty crash he took back in July, it was really refreshing.  Mark Hopper (Crew Chief for Brad Neat) was the Dirtondirt.com 'Crew Chief of The Race' and Brad also got the K&N Filters 'Clean Pass of the Race.'  It was awesome for those guys to have such a good weekend.  It was long overdue.

"I'm really proud of our guys and how they have done thus far.  You can't win em' all, but we go out every weekend and try to do so.  Both teams have been very consistent.  That's what it is going to take to finish where we want to be, racing for the championship and winning races.  I think we have a few more wins in us before the season is over."
