Bobby Labonte Discusses His Dirt Late Model Team - 01/28/2012

TRINITY, N.C. (January 25, 2012) – As Bobby Labonte Racing prepares to head south in just a few short weeks to start its 2012 season, team owner Bobby Labonte discusses why he wanted to own a dirt late model team, his relationship with driver Earl Pearson Jr. and his hopes for the organization this season.

To find the roots of BLR you must go back to 1982 when Bob Labonte fielded a Nationwide car for his youngest son Bobby at the Martinsville Speedway. The father-son combination qualified 15th before finishing 26th. It was a humble beginning to what was becoming a championship organization.
